Art Is My Bag started with the idea of art created from the everyday objects that we take for granted, the things we throw away.
Artists, ranging in age from 9 years old to 73 were invited to create works that explore humanity's use of resources and the global impact on the environment. The participants have created a wide variety of work including conceptual pieces, paintings, sculpture, installations, assemblage, weaving and knitting, that address subjects such as the color of paper bags, reuse and recycling, "paper or plastic ?", global warming and identity.
