Art IS My Bag - States Project - is a collage in sandwich bags of the map of the United States. The collage combines pop culture and historical icons with the map of each state on one side and fun interesting state facts on the reverse. Each sandwich bag is hung on fishing line wired across a recycled wood frame.All the materials used to create Art IS My Bag, such as, Post-It notes, transparencies, nylons, colored paper, and highlighters, etc were used because they can be found anywhere! After all, collage is the art of material re-use and in this case everyday material!
Remember that you, too, can create ART!!!
Art IS My Bag was installed at The Sun Gallery in Hayward along with the Art IS My Bag collaborative art project
